If you live in Belfast – or anywhere else for that matter – and want to try your hand at comedy, why not sign up for one of our open mic slots?

Whether it’s stand up, sketch comedy or any other kind of comedic performance, Big Laughs Open Mic Night is a great place to start with a encouraging crowd and friendly performers.

There’s a great atmosphere and a solid community spirit among the comedians and attendees alike. We’ll buy you a drink if you die on your arse or show appropriate amounts of jealousy if you knock ‘em dead on your first go.

THE RULES

1) Sign up via the form below
2) Check in with the Big Laughs people at the door and tell them you’re there
3) Do a 5-7 minute spot
4) Someone will either shine a light in your eyes, hoist a pint onstage, or throw a chair at you. Whatever they do, finish your joke AND GET THE HELL OFF. You’re time is up.
5) Winner of the night (as determined by The Clapometer) will win a prize.
