Hotrod is, surprisingly, not Hotrod’s birthgiven moniker. But nonetheless, it somehow stuck. The way day old bacon-grease sticks to bedsheets.

Since early 2009 this hirsute wunderkind has been enthralling audiences with his surreal standup, tales of adventure on the high seas, inspired character pieces and less inspired yoyo tricks.

Knee-bucklingly charming and boke-inducingly filthy in equal measure, but what else would one expect from a man so imaginative (nee, conceited) as to make up his own nickname?

Hotrod also presents a monthly segment on Rory McConnell’s show on BBC Radio 1, detailing up to date information on comedy goings on, as well as featuring a plethora of guest comics each month.
