This month Voicebox brings you an eclectic mix of stand-up, videos, character pieces, comedy presentations and surreal humour. This month features:

CIARAN FLANAGAN

“Writer and Comedian Ciaran Flanagan is a native of Stroke City now living in London. Ciaran has written and performed with sketch comedy group Love The Concept for the Edinburgh Festival, Dublin Fringe and Belfast Theatre Festival. Since moving to London, Ciaran has ma…de a departure into Stand-Up Comedy because he relishes new challenges and also because HE IS SICK OF SHARING THE SPOTLIGHT. His up-beat and left of field humour pulls no punches about the ‘joys’ of living in Norn Iron. Recently described as ‘Brilliant’ on BBC Radio Foyle and ” Bollocks” by chortle.co.uk, Ciaran’s comedy will either have you gagging for more or wishing for a slow death, depending on who you want to believe.”

Voicebox Comedy brings you a beltering show this April which will forever re-affirm “Good Friday” as “Fantastic, Faff-bombastic Friday” in your postively snapped funnybones.

This very special date in all our calendars marks the day that Legenderry funnyman, ADAM LAUGHLIN returns to grace the stage!

“Originally from Legenderry, the bearded funster, Adam Laughlin has been taking to the stage since 2007, winning audiences over and earning a firm favourite slot in many clubs, and hearts, with his inimitable style. Expect well-constructed gags, bizarre and surreal set pieces, an unending energy and an undeniably hilarious stage presence. He has played venues such as The Pavilion Bar, Voicebox Comedy, The Empire and Lavery’s Bar.”

The Lord is dead but Adam has risen.

“Some know him as the best beard in Irish comedy, others as the Keyboard Wizard, and still others as the wicker work fairy light man from BBC’s Great Unanswered Questions. Whatever you know him as he’s hard to forget.

A truly International comedian, Matthew gigs regularly in the many great comedy clubs of Dublin and Belfast. (Ok so “international” comedian is stretching it a bit and you need to recognise a somewhat sticky political situation, but hey I’m tryin’ to make myself sound important here).

Matthew’s comedy is probably best described as semi-intelligent, quasi-intellectual bullshit. Basically he’s a nerd with a sense of humour and an obsession with the 1980′s, superheroes and general mirth.”
